Took a ride to KL with my mother, sister and little brother. Sudden and save some money, I think.
4 am in the morning and it was on Sunday. Just 2 hours sleep before.
Try to found a breakfast’s place and my mother started to pissed
off.
Cyber2. Cyberjaya. Cekik2. Cekikjaya. My mother was so funny when
she was mumbling.
Went to my mother’s nephew house in Sepang. Eat and rest. I can’t
believe that I fall asleep easily on the chair. Continued my sleep to the guest
room because I was barely sleep while in the car.
They go back that afternoon and I took ERL to KL Sentral. Then, took
monorail to Medan Tuanku. A hotel in downtown KL. Affordable and comfortable.
At least for me.
It was already late. Late! Arrived at 5 o’clock and the concert started at
6pm. Settle with check-in and clean myself for almost an hour. Time pass-by so fast
right now.
Decided to have a dinner in Mid Valley and to cash my voucher for a
perfume. Buy only what you need. It's been too long since I bought the Jean Paul Gaultier’s Rose N Roll. I only wear
perfume when I’m going out. Not to work.
At last, Paco Rabanne’s Black XS. The first perfume
and my favourite. They do not have the 30 ml that I wished for. Therefore, I just took the
50 ml.
Saw a man trying some perfume at the same counter. And he was still there
when I’m finished with my payment. Maybe want to find what suits him. Or for his
girlfriend? Or a man who battle his own indecisiveness?
Take your time, my friend. As long as he was not dizzy in smelling too
many perfume. Uhuh.
Got the 50 ml Black XS. He said I like sweet smell so he added me
1.5ml Carolina Herrera 212 VIP and 1.5ml Sublime. And also Paco Rabanne’s Lady
Million gold evening pouch. He said it was for me, to fill stuff into the pouch. Stuff.
Actually,I don’t like a sweet smell. And I don’t look sweet. Haha. What
make me to like sweet smell? Never mind, he was kind to me.
I had my dinner at the food court. Was so hungry and had a hotplate
noodles. 7pm something and I don’t care it was late. Since when, I was late to a
concert? Since I went to MPO?
Try to take the bus but changed my mind. I asked the uncle to send
me to Dewan Besar UM. He asked me where is the dewan besar? The hall for the
convocation, I tried to assure him. I forgot the name and accidentally said
DECTAR. And DECTAR is in UKM. Uhuh.He said, What? And then, he started rambling about the people before
who don’t have a clue where they want to go. And the people who was cannot be separated from his luggage.
And I have to hear all the babbling with patience.
Aha, nama dia Dewan Tunku Canselor, I said to him. Just to cool him
down. Uncle, next time please try to chill out. Sometime people forget, I said in my
mind.
Arrived for the Blues & Roots Festival at UM Experimental
Theatre at 8pm. 2 hours late. It was 6pm until 11pm. But then, I need to go back by
10 pm because of the transport. Okay, right.
Try to find the right door. The first door I opened, saw the seat at
the back near to the door was full. I
was planning to have a seat at the back. Went out to search another door. It
was closed but it can be open. Another couple arrived to find the door. They
saw me coming towards the second door that I was trying to open. When I closed
the door, the boyfriend hold the door. Looks like they choose the door same as
me. Maybe they are like me, to find a seat with lesser people.
And, why every time I went to the concert, I will stumble with a couple?
Hall was not full. The lighting and the smoke machine ok. And the
sound was good. I mean the music is good.
I started to feel sleepy. Not because of the music. Because of my 2
hours sleep. And having on and off sleep. Headache
is coming over. Haha.
Luckily, the music itself make me not to be consume enough of my
sleepiness and my headache. This is the first live blues music I’ve been to.
Lonely people coming. Because they sitting alone, I guess. They are coming because they like
to. Because of the music they like. Don’t care about what people say. They
seems agree with me. Just concentrated on the music.
The musician I saw are one of the most laid-back people I know.
Although people said blues music related to sadness and solemn but what
fascinates me was the music its play.
One of the couple, English man and Indian woman suddenly stand up and started to dancing. I mean in weird-and-slow-type-moving dancing. I said to myself, don’t
drunk here man. Don’t. But I think he just high or he just want to dance in his
own way.
I saw Pak Samad there. Maybe he want to calm himself for awhile.
In between the takes, they played Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin’s
song. I manage to see 3 performances until 10 o’clock. Still not enough. Hate to leave and hate myself for coming
late. But I need to stick with the decision. Need to go back before the train
shut down.
Now, try to find a taxi and go back. On my way back to bus stop, a
few Indian girl with a car stopped me. They asking for a direction to PPUM. And accidentally gave them a long way to PPUM. What’s wrong with me? I should have tell them that
they can turn around and use the back gate.
This is me, 5 years after studying in UM.
11.30 pm, reached the hotel. I was so thirsty that I need to go to 7
Eleven to buy a water. 7 Eleven had save me twice. Uhuh. And I saw Chris John
Millington look alike sitting at the table near to the outside. But only with a
shorter beard. Uhuh.
Monday. Check out at 9 am and planning to go to Big Bad Wolf. But
first, I need to buy the bus ticket and then go the book sale exhibition. Go
back to JB at 12.30 pm and I think I can
make it in 2 hours plus.
Take the commuter from Bandar Tasek Selatan to Serdang. 10.30 am
arrived at the Big Bad Wolf place and this is also my first time coming here.
It has been 10 years since I came to Mines. And there is a lot of new shops near the
mall. I saw Restoran Sambal Biniku on the way to the Mines. Thought of having a
lunch there.
At MIECC, quite a lot people coming there. I did not realise that I
am taking 1 hour plus in there and just manage browsing the literature and
general fiction section only. It was 12 o’clock and I have a bus to catch at
12.30 pm. Just pass by the restaurant again and heard they are speaking in
Indonesian slang. I guess it might be an Indonesian restaurant.
I’m started to worry because of the timing. Already bought the train
ticket and make it to the train platform but I turned to taxi stop. Trying to
explain that I was in a rush.15 ringgit
had flown away. Get my bag inside the locker and running to the bus platform.
Guess what, the bus was late! And I don’t know who am I angry about. Myself or
the bus. It should be myself. Maybe my money was not going into that restaurant
or KFC.
What I feel, it was a short trip but a long weekend.
Actually, I was trying to change the weather to write in English. When I want to state something, I like to write in English and I know right now, my English still suck.
I don't feel funny when writing this post.

*Black XS was related to straight edge which is a punk culture and
212 is a Manhattan area code.
*Playing at the back was Sons of Anarchy’s Make It Rain by Ed
Sheeran. Quite bluesy feel song. He was good but not hauntingly as Jeff Buckley, I guess.
